Charity and Community
At Ben Williams Financial Planning, we believe strongly in contributing to the health of our local community in Thames Ditton and Surrey.
That has led to us playing a key role in events in our area, and in support of deserving local charities.
September 2025: Triathlon
Ben completed this major athletic challenge – a 750m swim, 20km bike ride and a 5k run, one after the other.
By taking part, he raised £1,800 for the Bee-lieve Foundation, a charity that does wonderful work to support children’s mental health and wellbeing. It partners with schools to fund programmes and investments that support pupils of all ages.
June 2025: Thames Ditton Junior School Summer Ball
Our support enabled this event to take place at Sandown Park racecourse. It was designed for pupils’ parents, who were able to enjoy dinner, dancing and a DJ.
The evening also included a raffle and an auction to raise funds for the school.
June 2024: Thames Ditton Junior School Summer Fair
We sponsored this event, held at the school. Attractions included games, cake sales, inflatables, a barbeque and a raffle to raise funds for the school.
March 2024: Hampton Court Half Marathon
Our founder Ben completed the course and, in doing so, raised funds for Surrey Young Carers. This is an amazing charity, part of Action for Carers, which gives support to carers aged 5-17 who are giving ongoing care to a family member.
Surrey Young Carers runs a host of activities that give young carers a break from their duties, as well as the chance to meet others in their situation. It helps to reduce the impact of caring on the lives of young people, and helps them to reach their full potential.
November 2023: Thames Ditton Junior School Christmas Party
We helped to sponsor this festive event, where parents enjoyed dinner, dancing and a welcoming glass of fizz, thanks to our support. We also helped to provide prizes for the raffle.
The raffle alone raised £250 for school funds – and the magnum of Champagne purchased with our backing was the star prize of the event.
November 2021: Thames Ditton Junior School Winter Party
We sponsored this event, held at Colets Health and Fitness Club in Thames Ditton. This was an evening for pupils’ parents that included a dinner, dance, raffle and auction to raise funds for the school.
